Today I released a new simple plugin to add a little bit of extra functionality to WooCommerce. Having the ability to duplicate shipping zones can be very handy when configuring many shipping zones/rates with the same structure. I initially created this for myself when needing to configure a setup with many different shipping zones/rates with different rates based on the weight.
The plugin was build to be very small and lightweight. It is ideal for having on your site when configuring your shipping requirements, and then just delete it when done. It does not store any records/settings in the database; meaning after removing the plugin, your site will be as clean as it was before installing.
Cloning Shipping Zones
The plugin adds a ‘Duplicate’ action next to the other actions ‘Edit’ and ‘Delete’ for shipping zones. Using this action will refresh and add a duplicate of the zone with ‘ (duplicated)’ added to the name.
Cloning Shipping Methods
We’ve added the same ‘Duplicate’ action for the shipping methods as for the WooCommerce Shipping Zones.
Beware that duplicating enabled shipping methods will have enabled duplicates. If working on a live site you may want to disable/change it to your requirements as soon as possible.
