Adding the WAS Advanced Pricing extension will provide you with a *TON* of powerful functionality to configure the shipping cost for your Advanced Shipping rates. Setup cost per Product, Category, Shipping class and Weight.

 

 

Cost per Weight

In the ‘Cost per weight’ section you can configure a minimum and a maximum weight to make sure it only applies within that range, or leave one or both empty to apply it from/up to that number.
